The main components of peppermint oil are menthol and menthone. This oil calms the respiratory tract, stimulates digestion, and relieves bloating. Menthone contributes to the revitalising effect of peppermint.

Composition: Mentha x piperita.

How to Use:

- Oral intake: Take 1 to 2 drops, 2 times a day. Dilute in a teaspoon of honey or a cup of tea;

- Topical application (massage, bath): Dilute 5 to 10 drops in 10 ml of vegetable oil;

- Diffusion: Use 5 to 10 drops, according to your preference or depending on the size of the room;

- Digestion: A teaspoon of honey with 2 drops of peppermint essential oil after meals promotes digestion;

- Headaches: 2 drops of peppermint essential oil diluted in 10 ml (= 1 tablespoon) of a vegetable oil of your choice. Apply by gently massaging the temples and forehead. Avoid contact with eyes.

Precautions: When using an essential oil for the first time, it is advisable to perform a test to check for allergic reactions: mix a drop of the oil you will use with a teaspoon of sweet almond oil and rub it on the elbow bend. If the skin reddens within 24 hours, it means you are sensitive to the product and should not use it. Never use essential oils in their pure form. To avoid skin irritation, they should always be mixed with an oily base, such as sweet almond oil. Use a small amount of any oil in any type of treatment. If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, do not use oils without the advice of a qualified aromatherapist.
