Dr. Reckeweg R9 is based on the traditional uses of each of the homeopathic components. Among them are: dry cough, dry rhinitis, tracheitis, laryngitis, chest affections.

-Belladonna: Stimulation of blood circulation with intense and sudden congestion of the brain, tonsil ring and other organs; swelling of the tonsils, red tongue and palate; sensation of dryness in the throat with constant need to swallow; dry cough; skin with red colour, sweats; dry mucous membranes; hypersensitivity of the senses; throbbing pains; worsening of all complaints with cold and drafts.

-Bryonia: Dryness of the mucous membranes (dry rhinitis); dry and painful cough, "stitch in the chest" relieved by local pressure; pleural effusion; thirst; nosebleeds; headaches from meningeal irritation.

-Coccus cacti: Cough with filamentous mucus that is difficult to expel, causing dyspnoea with redness of the face, sensation of stranglehold from effort of vomiting, mucous membrane sensitivity to touch.

-Corallium rubrum: Catarrhal and spasmodic irritation of the respiratory mucous membranes (nostrils, larynx, trachea), sudden and violent spasmodic coughing fits, with intense redness of the face, preceded by asphyxia.

-Cuprum aceticum: Spasmodic cough (whooping-like) and/or asthma (bronchospasm), with chest constriction.

-Drosera: dyspnoea; Dry cough (due to throat tickle) and coughing fits (even with vomiting) in the evening, with cyanosed face (worsening lying down and with bed heat); may have yellowish or even haemoptoic mucous/fibrous expectoration; laryngeal spasm with bimodal voice; neck adenopathies.

-Ipecacuanha: Accumulation of mucus in the bronchi, wheezing breath, dyspnoea, spasmodic cough with asphyxia.

-Spongia: Dry irritation of the respiratory tract mucosa with burning sensation and hoarseness; dry croupy cough, shortness of breath; laryngitis; adenopathies.

-Sticta: Tropism for the mucosa of the respiratory tract with irritation and little exudation; sensation of painful obstruction at the root of the nose due to mucosa dryness (need to blow nose but without relief); dry and irritating cough, especially at night, worsening with inspiration; headaches (frontal sinusitis) with tightness and fullness sensation at the root of the nose; tracheitis; dry rhinitis.

Composition per 10 ml:  Belladonna D4 1 ml, Bryonia D4 1 ml, Coccus Cacti D6 1 ml, Corallium rubrum D12 1 ml, Cuprum Aceticum D12 1 ml, Drosera D4 1 ml, Ipecacuanha D6 1 ml, Spongia D6 1 ml, Sticta D4 1 ml, Ethanolum/Purified Water.

How to take (adults and adolescents over 12 years old)Take 5 drops diluted or not in a little water every 2 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses per day. After improvement of symptoms, reduce intake to 1 to 3 times a day.
